I was tagged by Angie at Write Me Happy for this WIP meme (and then a couple of other bloggers tagged me as well). I decided to play along because it’s a great way to give an inside peek at a snippet of Foreign Identity, my book that’s being published next month. It has one last round of edits before final, so technically it is still a work in progress.
Rules of the Meme
Here are the rules:
Go to page 7 or 77 of your current MS/WIP
Go to line 7
Copy down the next 7 lines, sentences or paragraphs and post them as they are written.
Tag 7 authors and let them know.
I went to page 77 and line 7 of the advanced reading copy. Here are those seven weighty sentences. See what you make of them.
They gazed at the solid square of red as if in awe of the masterpiece before them. He tried to speak, to ask how he got here, but nothing came out. It dawned on him that no one here could see him. Was he a ghost? Or just watching some inner-brain film? Before he could decide, the scene changed again.
He blinked, but it was still gray and fuzzy.
There you have it. Are you completely lost? I love how obscure and yet mysterious this passage is. If you haven’t read the book yet, what are your impressions? From this bit, what do you think the story is about? Ten points if you’re close! (If you’ve already read the book, DON’T ruin the fun by posting spoilers.)
And here are my seven tagged bloggers. Consider yourselves IT! (This is just for fun, so don’t feel pressured to participate if you don’t want to. But it’s a great way to get blog content and share some of your WIP with your audience.)
Also, in case you haven’t heard, I’m giving away a signed paperback of Foreign Identity. Check the widget on the right side to sign up for the Goodreads giveaway.

Thanks for tagging me! I don’t think I’ll complete the challenge though since I don’t have a WIP. Which just makes me sad. Maybe by this time next week I will!
Soon enough…just wait until June gets here. 🙂
LOL I got tagged on Google + the other day then tagged Becca only to find out you already got tagged.
I know. I’d already written the post so I just figured, oh well. 🙂
