Plotting in Progress…
I’m getting pumped up for JuNoWriMo. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a novel writing challenge to pen 50,000 words in June. Warning: participating in JuNoWriMo may result in a finished first draft of your book! Only the brave should join.
I am knee-deep into prewriting, but I’ve come across a slight dilemma. I’m plotting out a book that comes after the book I should write in June. Sigh. I’m apparently just not good at doing things the “right way.” What a rebel I am.
I should be plotting Flawed #4, but instead my writer brain jumped ahead to the sequel to Convergence (which is, for all intents and purposes, Flawed #1.5). Yeah, I know that’s confusing, but Convergence isn’t technically a part of the Flawed series… it’s actually the beginning of another, related series with characters that overlap. It’s more urban fantasy and less thriller. I really should figure out a better way to brand these, but I’m still working on that.
If things go well this month, maybe I can prewrite both books and have two outlines ready to go – one for June and one for NaNoWriMo in November. Wish me luck!
