*takes deep breaths*
Okay, I’m calm now. Make that calmer. I’m still freaking out a little bit, but I’ll keep it inside from here on out.
Cover Art Revealed
The sudden burst of excitement is mostly due to the fact that I now have cover art. Woot! (Do you hear the applause or is that just in my head?) The lovely and talented Anna Howard did a fabulous job, dedicating her time and efforts to bringing my vision to fruition. Thanks, Anna, for your patience in working with me.
I can’t wait to show you the cover. It’s eye-catching. It’s mysterious. It’s creepy. It’s very thriller-meets-science fiction, which is right where Foreign Identity lies. In fact, it took an extreme amount of self-control not to include it here, right now. I know, I know, the mystery is killing you, right? There’s a reason I’m holding back.
I’d love to give a few bloggers the opportunity to be the first to show off my new cover art. When it goes live next week, I’ll be sure to link to their posts like crazy on Twitter and Facebook so you all can see it. If you’re interested in being one of the lucky few to unveil the design, send me your request (at email@example.com) by Saturday, April 7th at 9pm central. That’s the cut off when I’ll be selecting bloggers. Or if you aren’t a book blogger, be sure to share this opportunity with your favorite book review site so they can have a chance.
What’s It All About?
Foreign Identity will be released by Consortium Books the second week of May. In the meantime, if you want to know more about this science fiction novel, you’re in luck. Read on to learn more about the story.
Cold. Confusion. Fear. This is how it all begins.
Waking up without your memory in a cell and bound by chains is terrifying.
Two nameless strangers, a man and a woman, find themselves imprisoned together. With no memories of their own identities, let alone their captor and tormentor, escape is the only option. The pair faces a bizarre labyrinth of rooms and clues that confuse more than they explain. Every discovery only brings more questions.
Who captured them? Why were they taken? What does their captor want from them? What can the riddles mean?
Who are they?
Lacking allies and options, the duo must learn to trust one another. Mazes, puzzles, and even strange, lurking creatures force them to rely on their wits — and each other — for survival. But survival isn’t enough. They need answers.
Will the answers be enough? Will the truth bring them closer together, or drive them forever apart? Will discovering their identities finally bring them home?
Be sure to stay tuned for the cover reveal!
I’m currently giving away a limited number of advanced reader copies of Foreign Identity. If you are a book blogger and are interested in reviewing the book, reserve your copy here.
